Peppino's: "Homemade Gelato!" Peppino's Tip by csistok

Peppino's, Calgary: 1 reviews and 0 photos

This is a mom-and-pop op. Mr. and Mrs. Peppino (not their real names, though I could be wrong) are always friendly and obviously enjoy what they do. It's a cozy little place, with a few tables outside for when the weather is nice.

Favorite Dish: This is our favourite Saturday lunch spot (they are open Mon-Sat). We usually go for the soup of the day (always homemade) and a half sandwich (we like The Vesuvius). The highlight, though, is the home-made secret-family-recipe gelato. Mmm-mmm. Favourite flavours include: mango, kiwi and banana.

They have a freezer stocked with homemade sauces and pastas, as well as deli meats and cheeses for your purchasing pleasure. And to wash it all down, why not go for a Brio, the Italian cola? Or, if you prefer, just a plain old cup of cappucino.
