As to what my Iowan friends and family told me Omaha must be very dangerous with a lot of gangs. I´ve got the slight idea that they might have exagerated a bit, never having lived in a big city ;-)
However, once my friend and I parked our rental car at daytime at Crossroads mall, and when we got back someone had broken into the car! Nothing got stolen though, maybe the guy got disturbed by a police patrol...
