Brazilian indians were theme of many works of art during XIX century, period in which the Romanticism movement was stronger in Brazil. This phase is called INDIANISMO (also, brazilian nativism), thus, references to flora, fauna, indigenous language were the main characteristics of brazilian art at that time.
