"St. Peter and St. Paul Cathedral" St.Peter and St.Paul's Fortress Tip by Leipzig

St. Peter and St. Paul Cathedral
by Leipzig

In the middle of the Peter and Paul Fortress is the identically named Cathedral. Here all Russian Emperors are buried. The Cathedral was St. Petersburg's first stony church. It was erected in 1712-33. On top of the spire is an angel holding a cross. At 123 meeters the cathedral is the highest building in the city.
