"I flew El Al, they were very..." Israel Transportation Tip by freya_heaven
Israel Transportation: 147 reviews and 140 photos
I mainly got around be bus, shared taxi & hitching. All of which were fine, apart from a couple of dodgy hitches. NEVER hitch alone, its just not worth it.
I think my best hitch was from Mount Hermon all the way back to the Kibbutz in a police car, with a male friend. No one actually believed us when we told them, as apparently the police are not allowed to pick people up!
Loosely associated to this section is to climb Masada, as I did to see the sun rise from the top, its very impressive & well worth the effort. you can either walk up as I did, or later in the day there is a cable car up to the top, but it doesnt start early enough for dawn. Photo is Masada
