"Courseulles-Sur-Mer" France Favorite Tip by Geoff_Wright

France General: 756 reviews and 684 photos

Fondest memory: Courseulles-Sur-Mer. It was here in 1944 that the British forces landed at Juno Beach. Nowadays its beaches are popular with holiday makers, as the town is becoming a fashionable resort. A pleasant place for a short visit, I think. In the picture here, our yacht is on the extreme left. The powerboat 'Spash Gordon Too' had 4 'senior citizens' on board. When we got chatting to them we discovered that the husbands had brought the boat over from UK, and the wives took the ferry! That's almost the end of this short tour around the Normandy coast, but look at my Normandy Beaches Travelogue, for a last poignant reminder of Normandy.
