"Keoladeo National Park." India Things to Do Tip by Paul2001

This is the best birdwatching park that I have ever visited(Costa Rica parks included). Rent a bike or a bicycle rickshaw and be sure to bring binoculars. The park is noted for its very rare birds that you can see surprisingly easily. This includes the extemely rare Siberian cranes of which there are only about 4,000 in the world. The park is also full of other wildlife such as snakes, lizards, turtles, and wildcats. Of note the wildlife has recently(in 2000) included a tiger or two that have roamed into the park from another national park. These are very exciting to see but not from a bicycle. Apparently this has curtailed bicycle trips through the park for now.

Directions: Just outside of Bharatpur in eastern Rajasthan. A two hour bus ride from Agra.
