"Fado" Fado Irish Pub Tip by bopper
Fado Irish Pub, Chicago: 3 reviews and 3 photos
This is supposed an Irish pub, but it is unlike any pubs I visited in Ireland. They do pour a fine pint of Guiness or Bodington's and there is always a lively crowd. They have live music on Thursdays and on the weekends. Happy hour Friday after work yields plenty of eye-candy, as well. They open early on the weekends if there are International football (the soccer kind) games. I like the fish and chips here and hanging with my friends. Here is a good portion of my Ultimate frisbee team enjoying pints on the mezzanine floor. We also tried this concoction called the boiler-maker which is Bailey's and Irish Whiskey, in a shot glass, dropped into a half-pint of Guiness, and chugged. Yum!
