<DIV ID='layer1' style='position:static;background-color:#eeeeee'>State-of-the-art lighting rigs and a varied musical policy have pulled this former Welsh Presbyterian chapel back from clubland's brink and Limelight now tends to pack 'em in seven nights a week. The club's various themes - anything from 70s and 80s pop to soul, swing and jungle attracts an eclectic mix of students and pissedup tourists on the pull. Given its religious affinity, decor is decidely Transylvanian parish church and the place is reportedly haunted by two priests and a nun. They don't appear on Sundays but, seeing as it's a gay 70s, 80s and 90s pop-night, it's probably not surprising. The Dome and Gallery area works best, as the rest can feel quite claustrophobic. Plenty of shadowy recesses provide privacy for those more intimate moments.

Dress Code: Smart casual is the official line, though lagered-up suit-clad office workers and the jeans and T-shirts brigade break up a smattering of Calvin Klein and DKNY aficionados.

Directions: 136 Shaftesbury Avenue, W1
