Electric Ballroom

The last bastion of of subversive rock lies here. The Ballroom has been, at various points, the place to be and be seen, a roller disco, a live venue, occasional market and club. Saturdays is a disco-dolly extravaganza, with dance tracks culled from the 70s, 80s and 90s. However it's the Friday night goth fest, Full Tilt, that dominates and has done so since, ooh, if not forever, then at least the mid-80s. the music is goth, techno, punk and industrial downstairs, with seven shades of rock blasted upstairs. If tatoos, rampant machismo, patchouli oil, alternative music and decadence grab your goat, then this is the place to bring it. However, if you find yourself here by accident, fear not, for The Ballroom maintains a surprisingly jovial and trouble-free environment.

Dress Code: Black, rubber, PVC, ripped jeans, tatoos and piercings.
