Checkpoint Charlie, Berlin: 171 reviews and 291 photos

The Checkpoint Charlie Museum (Haus Am Checkpoint Charlie). This is one fascinating museum, with exhibits on the many creative and courageous means that East Berliners employed to get over (or under) the Wall and escape the misery of Communist East Berlin. There's also a very moving exhibit commemorating the efforts of those who have risen against despotism and championed freedom and social justice (MLK, Gandhi, the leaders of the Polish Solidarity movement, et al.).
