"Island Pearl. A little pricey..." Honduras Hotel Tip by brannanjoe

Island Pearl. A little pricey ($100 - $130/nite), but completely well worth it. Absolute paradise directlyon the beach at West Bay on Roatan. Two bedroom, full kitchen, upstairs and downstairs porches and very nice bathroom await you only steps from the beach and beautiful blue water. Not nearly as busy or active as West End, but if you like quiet, relaxing setting, excellent iving and very nice lodging, this is the place for you. Lainie and Pascal (the owners) are available on site for your questions and the dive shop (run by a German guy named Rene) was among the best I have ever tried. The only down side (if you think it is a down side) is that there is not a lot of selection for dining on West Bay....Bite on the Beach ((excellent dining) is a 10 minute walk, but it is only open Wednesday thru Sunday, there is another, smaller place (I think it is paradise something) just south that had excellent burger and reasonably priced breakfasts and entrees, but you'd probably be better cooking for yourself in the well equipped kitchen. The website is www.roatanpearl.com. Check this one out
