Be carefull! Norway can be adictive :-)

Actually, if you stay too long in the nature, you might see trolls, gnomes and wood nymphs. In any case, you will understand Norwegian folkelore....

The real ones are shy of tourists. You only see them in the twilight hour walking alone far from people. You might be lured into the woods by a "huldre", so fair and beautiful. Only a mental image of a cold shower will keep you one the path. Or maybe a forest "nisse" will be up to his pranks and confuse your path so you get lost. Those of us that are used to these creatures just smile and wave to them and they wave back. Can't really blame them for trying. There are so few left.... Their existence is totally dependent on people believing in them.
You best not be spotted by the trolls though.... If you are spotted by one you have to keep dodging him till the sun comes up. Not very hard if you are smart, they aren't lol. They turn to stone if they don't make it back to the cave once the sun is up.
