"Santa Maria della Salute..." Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute Tip by Giulia_ua

Santa Maria della Salute – I would say it is the most beautiful cathedral of Venice, after San Marco. I do not remember if the entrance is free, there are some churches that you have to pay to enter. Anyway, Salute is really great both inside and outside. There are paintings inside of the cathedral by Titiano, Pietro Liberi, and other Venetian painters. The cathedral was built according to the project of Longena in 1631 – 1681. It is situated just across San Marco, one stop by bus (boat) #1.
