This is the heart of Vienna. The original Romanesque church was replaced in 13th century with a late Romanesque building, of which the only remains are the massive main entrance gate and 2 towers. The church was constructed mainly in the 15 century. The spire with its filigree decoration and tiled roof are extraordinary features of this cathedral. The exterior bears some remarkable sculptures; circle around the building before you enter it.
