"There are several nice places..." Virginia Restaurant Tip by nawitt

Virginia Restaurants: 85 reviews and 165 photos

There are several nice places to eat in Abingdon that are unique to the area. I personally recommend Alison's Restaurant, The Peppermill, The Starving Artist or The Hardware. All of these restaurants are individually unique and offer something differnt.
Alison's is a quaint little casual restaurant that is small and personal. The Peppermill and The Straving Artist offer more of a 'dressy' atmosphere but still small and personal. The Hardware is a large restaurant and pretty much any type clothing goes.

Favorite Dish: At Alison's you must try the baked potato soup- it is the best you will find anywhere! At The Peppermill I recommend the calamari- they also have excellent potato chowder. The Hardware is a nice place to go first for dinner and then to the back bar for drinks. My favorite menu item here is sesame chicken!

Directions: The Hardware, Alison's and The Peppermill are all located on Main Street. And The Starving Artist is located right around the cornor from The Hardware. Any local would be able to tell you exactly how
