"Fly. The only people who drive..." Combined Suggestions Tip by codewizard

Combined Suggestions, Las Vegas: 49 reviews and 24 photos

Fly. The only people who drive here, live in Pahrump or Mesquite. Plenty of flights, prices are generally great, and abundant.
*** From Airport - take a cab ($10 to $20). Most casinos have a jitney to the property (inquire before you get to Vegas). Limos are availible, but you will have to be 'known' to the casino you are staying at. You can also take the bus, recommended only for the desparately budget oriented travelers (aka students) with lots of time to spare.
*** Downtown - walk.
*** Strip - take the trolleys or the trams. Trams are free, air conditioned, and comfy. Trams only go between sister properties while the trolleys go to all the strip properties, and a few off-strip sites.
*** Off Strip - many of the off-strip properties have a 'jitney' service. Notably Sam's, The Rio, and Station casinoes that will take you to the Strip.

***** WARINING ******
Walking in the summer heat will kill you. That is not a joke. Don't do it unless you are in very good shape and have excellant health insurance.
