Fondest memory: This bridge is only 6 lanes (definately not big enough for Auckland traffic) and was built in the 1950's. It looks so pretty though on a sparkling day from a yacht or ferry in the harbour! Until March 2003 the Waitemata Harbour is the place to come to see the Louis Vuitton Cup and Americas Cup yacht racing. You can book cruises around the harbour with many different types of boats.
