"Ice Skating on the Canals..." Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art Tip by danmcf

Ice Skating on the Canals happens very rarely. Winters in A'dam just don't get cold enough on average. This is actually an outdoor skating rink behind the Rijksmuseum and it's kept frozen by large, noisy chillers. The music was blaring loud enough on the 'plein that they were hardly noticeable though.
If you squint and use your imagination, you can pretend they're skating on the canals. Heck, if you take your picture carefully enough you may be able to convince your friends back home that it is a canal!

Address: Paulus Potterstraat 13
Directions: This particular rink was right behind the Rijksmuseum, on the Museumplein.
