  The temple developing mercy
by kiwigal_1

This is the temple museum of Choijin Lama. It is a former monastery built between 1904 and 1908. The monastery was still active until 1938. In 1941 the monastery was included on a list of historical and cultural monuments and was thus preserved throughout many periods of occupation and destruction of such monasteries.

This picture is taken in front of the Main Temple and is inscribed as 'the temple developing mercy'.

Inside the main temple are displays of Tsam masks. Tsam is a traditional ceremony where the lama's dress up in ornate costumes and masks and perform ritual dances.

Address: Behind the Wedding Palace.
othercontact: The museum is open every day
