Wine tasting in Eger. If you like white wines, taste the Egri Leányka (Eger Girl). But anyway, don't miss the Egri Bikavér (Bull's Blood of Eger), the most famous, fiery red wine of Eger. Concerning the origins of the name, the legend has it that during the siege of the fortress in 1552, the Hungarian defenders drank this wine on the walls. The Turkish (abstinent due to their faith) thought that they drank bulls' blood, and this was what made them so strong, brave and invincible. (Well, they were right in that you CAN feel yourself strong, brave and invincible after some glasses.)
