Favorite thing: This is one of the main reasons people come to Tanzania. You have a great range of commodities and prices. Starting in a basic 100 US$ per day up to whatever you can imagine. We ;-((( took a basic one, that means: an old Land Rover, tents, a guide-driver, a cooker, entrances to the Parks and unlimited comments about wildlife. Anyway, if you can't afford a Lodge, you can always go there at dawn for a cold beer watching the sunset, or even have a 'Game dinner' in one of them. It is a great african experience too!!
The first days of the safari you will take photos of every living being, even cats and dogs, if they pass by your car. At about the 4th day, you will be fed up of impalas, zebras, birds, wildebeests... and you'll go for the big five: lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino.
