"The south suburbs are always..." Suburban delights Tip by CubFan

Suburban delights, Chicago: 38 reviews and 46 photos

The south suburbs are always overlooked. I've lived all my life in Calumet City and we're neglected down here.
If you're looking for some peace and quiet, come down to Lansing near the corner of Glenwood-Lansing Rd. and Stony Island. There's a very nice bike-walk trail there with a lot of open space.
Also, if you're Catholic and you want to go to church when you're in town, St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church is a great destination. It is one of the most beautiful churches you've ever seen. It was built in the late 1800's. St. Andrew's is on the corner of Lincoln and 156th in Calumet City.
