Cuba Transportation: 176 reviews and 162 photos

Maquinas! Old cars from the 1950s used as taxis for Cubans, costing 10 pesos a passenger no matter where you go. I rode in one at least once a day to get downtown and back- very fond memories riding in these cars, squished in with 10 other cubans, techno blasting, salsa blasting, sweating in the heat, wind blowing my hair, lifting up my feet because water was rushing in the bottom of the car when we drove through a puddle, slow slow slow drivers, scary beep your horn at everyone drivers, maquinas without functioning wipers in a rainstorm, drivers that didn't know where they were going, the various horn contraptions, EVERYTHING!
