Again, I can't really recommend any particular accomodation as I lived in the region in my own flat. But stay in a bed and breakfast. I have stayed at many in England, Scotland and Wales with no complaints. More economical and it is a good place to get the feel of Yorkshire living in a real house.

Directions: I would recommend staying in Harrogate or Knaresborough for your gateway to the Dales and Moors. Harrogate is the bigger of the two with is spas and green strays (large parks). Knaresborough is quaint
