"Take in the Cosmosphere in..." Kansas Favorite Tip by AngelDivine

Favorite thing: Take in the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson! It may be a bit of a tourist trap, but who isn't interested in space travel? Also, catch a flick the newly restored Fox Theatre -- it's a blast from the past! There are also a lot of antique shops which hold lots of interesting trinkets.<p>'Make-out Point' in the state's capital, Topeka, is great. I loved seeing all of the city lights from a high wooded area! <p>The unique shops, and especially FAO Schwartz toy store in Kansas City are plentiful and the people are friendly. <p>Witchita is a city whose people speak for themselves.

Fondest memory: What I miss most from Hutchinson is Carey Park, with its river, which is surprisingly shallow but has an incredibly strong current. My roommates and I would often grab our air mattresses and indulge in an afternoon float through the city on this river. <p> I also miss the frequent day trips we would take to Witchita to take in a concert, movie, or just go shopping.
