  Lord Mayor's Coach

A fantastic museum which depicts the history of London in their displays. From the earliest settlements to the 20th century. My favourite galleries were the Roman and the Dark Age, Saxon and Medieval London. There are numerous artifacts from these time periods desplayed on the walls and in display cases.
An interesting item to view is the Lord Mayor's coach, an extravagant vehicle dating from 1757. It's located on the lowest floor and is the item pictured.
Various temporary exhibits come and go from the museum so be sure to check what's available before you head there.
The museum is open most days at 10am until 5pm, but not till noon on Sundays.
Best of all, admission is free!!
