THE CATACOMBS Catacombs are underground burial chambers and in the city of Rabat, there are a few such as St. Paul's and St Agatha's. I visited the catacombs of St. Cataldus. You enter through a small chapel, then down to a small altar and then down some more stairs to the actual catacombs. Near the tombs, there was a table that I was told was used for celebrations after a burial because the dead had gone on to a better place.
