"Since WWII, Volgograd has been..." The Panorama and Mill Tip by travelmad478

The Panorama and Mill, Volgograd: 8 reviews and 16 photos

Since WWII, Volgograd has been completely rebuilt. The wartime destruction of the city can be seen now only in photos taken after the battle--which are horrific--and in this one bombed-out building, which was deliberately left as a memorial of the carnage. If you go to the local museum there, you'll see that the entire city in 1945 looked pretty much like this building. It's amazing to see it now.
