I stayed at the <a href='http://www.salmonriverhouse.com' target='new'>The Salmon River House</a>. A beautiful Country Inn with great restaurant that I absolutely can reccomend. I don't reccommend a hotel very quickly, but this is one of the places I can clearly remember, and absolutely loved. So when you are in Nova Scotia, and travelling this way, make sure that you book for the night here! Hahaha, in case you wonder : no I don't get a commision for saying this :-)

Here is some more information about the inn :

The Salmon River House was built in 1850 as a settler's cottage and was opened to the travelling public in 1920, it has been known as the Salmon River House ever since. Of course over the years it has grown from the original cottage to its present status as a full service, licensed Country Inn including The Lobster Shack Restaurant. Although our unpretentious size and country decor reflect the hardworking fishing and lumbering folk that first setted on the Marine Drive of Nova Scotia, we are still dedicated to seafood and lobster, great steaks, sweets, cozy accommodations with a homey ambiance and impeccable cleanliness.

Location : approx 40 Minutes away from Halifax or Halifax international Airport. Highway7 to Musquodoboit Harbour.
