  The clock in the museum.

This is a lovely museum which has more modern art than the Louvre. It is very popular, too, so get there early to avoid the queues. The building was once a train station and has a nice open feel to it.
Some of the paintings include Monet's waterlillies, his paintings of Notre Dame, Van Gogh's Les Oliviers and paintings by Gauguin. There is also sculpture by Dega and some interesting pieces by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. If you like Art Nouveau, you will think you are in heaven. Allow several hours to really enjoy the place. It is closed on Mondays and is the only Parisian museum (that I know of) which is open on Tuesdays.
