Comedy Clubs: "Comedy Clubs" London Nightlife Tip by gabriellefox

London Nightlife: 1,242 reviews and 1,310 photos

London is like the Capital of Comedy, it offers you more comedy clubs than any other City in the World. There are over 50 Comedy Clubs or nights around London with new venues opening up all the time. Stand Up is the basis almost everywhere, with nights ranging from the individual famous comics such as Jo Brand, Eddie Izzard, Julian Clary, Lee Evans, and Jack Dee, to the Circuits like Screaming Blue Murder (where many of the famous comedians began), to traditional pub venues in the outer London Districts. It's by far the easist way to laugh there is and if you don't find at least one act hilarious, there must be something wrong with you ! In most places you can eat, drink and even dance afterwards. Heckling is all part of the humour. Though this and taking the front seats, is probably not advised if you're easily embarrassed. A lot of venues shut on Mondays when it's toughest to raise a smile.

Dress Code: Wear what you like but try not to stand out from the crowd unless you like being barakked by a comedian with a microphone.
