Take a canoe out to U Bein Bridge.
One of the main sights at Amarapur is the U Bein Bridge - 1.2km long wooden bridge over the Taungthaman Lake to the South of the city. It was built in 1784 constructed of teak planks salvaged from the ruins of the royal city of Ava.

Directions: The bridge is an excellent way to meet monks from the nearby monastery, sample fresh coconuts and buy some local arts and crafts.
