The best way to get around london is to buy an all day travel card for the London Underground otherwise known as The Tube. This entitles you to unlimited travel on the tube from either 8 or 9am until 12 midnight and some bus travel.

An off-peak Travelcard covering zones 1234 costs 4.70.

There are several stations near to the main shops and attractions and the trains run every few minutes.

Although the Tube can get very stuffy and overcrowded at times I love it and could ride on it all day. I`m not quite sure what it is but there is something magical about the London Underground.

Although a lot of the stations have been modernised I still prefer the good old days and would love to see them when they were first built.
I find it amazing how they were built with the limited machinery that they had in those days mainly just a pair of hands and a shovel.
