"Pickpockets are very active..." Trinidad and Tobago Warnings Or Dangers Tip by kroyer

Pickpockets are very active during the carnival.
Good advises: Do not bring to much money with you in the streets. Try not to walk alone in the streets, especially in nights and especially during Jouvert, the opening night of the carnival.
DO NOT enter crowds - avoid them by crossing the streets. If things gets unpleasant in one area, go to another part of the city. Carnival is all over.
If it happens DO NOT follow the pickpockets and try to get back your money. Being a hero can be very dangerous.
And finaly, do not be scared, just take care.
Frightness is a much bigger enemy than pickpockets.
