"The Little India Arcade, on..." Singapore Things to Do Tip by o00o

Singapore Things to Do: 1,995 reviews and 3,531 photos

The Little India Arcade, on the Sungai Road junction, is a block of stalls selling knickknacks, trinkets and food, providing a quick and comfortable introduction to the neighborhood. But to really get a feel for it, venture into the side lanes. At the flower shops, women deftly string together heavily scented jasmine garlands, while in the spice stalls, dingy mills churn out aromatic curry powders. A cheeky parrot is ready to pick a card and tell your fortune with uncanny accuracy.
