Favorite thing: Merzouga

Ellie and I took the easy way out and booked a 3 day mini bus trip from the Hotel Ali in Marrakesh. One of the things that we got to do was to travel to the Saharah, hop on camels, and be guided by lovely berber guides into the desert to camp over night, spend time playing those wonderful drums that you see everywhere, sing songs in arabic where we didn't know what the heck we were daying, and climb the erg (big moving sand dune) at sunrise. I am proud to say that I was the first human to reach the top (a cat beat me though he kept trying to climb my pant leg for a ride up)
Camels, Saharah, berber hospitality, need I say more to convince you to go?
