"The worlds smallest drawbridge..." Somerset Village Tip by razor8

Somerset Village, Bermuda: 2 reviews and 1 photos

The worlds smallest drawbridge is on this Island. Great snorkeling. Great shopping. Great beaches. Horseshoe Bay Beach has red sand. If you like to watch males, this is the place. If you like to watch females.....this is the place. Myself.........I look like the guy on the cover of Jethro Tulls Aqualung album and can only leer and peek at the women. They run away shrieking. It is tough getting old.
I was snorkeling and saw the biggest lobster about 15 feet from the surface. I was swimming along the bottom, following a rock cliff and BOOM, there it was under a dark overhang. All I saw were those beady little eyes and those long antenae. Scared the heck out of me. He tasted good though.
There are plenty of secluded beaches if you want privacy. It won't last long. Another couple will come along with the same wish.
Rent the motorbike(they are cheap and you don't have to wait forever for a bus or taxi)
and explore the island. Take your bathing suit, camera, sunscreen and towel.
