"... take a horse drawn..." Canal Boat Tours/ other Tours. Tip by edgarvnl

Canal Boat Tours/ other Tours., Brugge: 15 reviews and 12 photos

Favorite thing: ... take a horse drawn carriage ride through the narrow streets. Starting from the Markt, or main square, this hour-long excursion will take you along the quaint back streets of Brugge. Highlights include a stop at the beautiful Beguinage -- a 16th century convent that still houses 12 sisters -- and a leisurely trot along the peaceful canals. This may well be the ideal way to begin your discovery of Brugge, as it provides a quick and informational overview (the drivers are fonts of local history) of the place.

Fondest memory: Waking up early in the morning and walking the deserted cobblestoned streets. Without the noise and confusion of the daily tourist circus, you could well picture yourself in the 11th century.

Address: Georges STAEL Katelijnestraat 4 .
