Favorite thing: Go diving. We took our advanced open water dive course this year and it was great. Our instructor Mika was the best. She was gracious, patient and took her time with every detail. The diving center at Ellaidhoo is opperated by Sub Aqua Serv. Ltd. All the staff is friendly and helpful. You are sure to have a good time with them.

Fondest memory: Night diving was my favourite. At first the fear was present but with our trust in Mika we felt safe and assured that we would not be in danger. The experience was not to be missed and certainly not forgotten. Ellaidhoo has one of the best house reefs of any resort island in the Maldives, just 20 metres away form the beach. Lobsters, turtles, white tip and grey reef sharks, jack fish, barracudas and tuna fish, just to name a few. You will also observe many beautiful multicoloured soft corals and fan corals on the house reef. If you are lucky, you may also see a manta or eagle ray passing by. To the south of the island there is a vertical drop-off up to 25 metres with caves at three different levels startng from 6 metres. There is also a small wreck providing shelter for all kinds of small and large fish. Tourists from resort island as far as North Male' Atoll visit on diving excursions to see the spectacular house reef at Ellaidhoo.
