"Arguably the best in town (Hotel Corregidor)" Howard Johnson La Plata Arg Tip by DSwede

I've now been in and out of La Plata several times. I believe I have found my 'new' preferred hotel. The Corregidor Hotel underwent a series of renovations. The rooms are very clean and modern. The walls are thick enough that I did not hear any other guests in nearby rooms.

The staff is very professional and helpful, but if you don't speak Spanish, only a few speak English. The hotel is located not far from the Teatro, so you can walk in a matter of minutes to all the main sites in town.

The rooms have rather large windows which you can open. When the weather is nice, it is rare to have a hotel room with windows you can open to get fresh air.

Unique Qualities: The hotel offers a free continental style breakfast.
The hotel offers free Wi-Fi.
They also have a small business center and exercise room.
They have underground parking, but I'm not sure of the cost.
