Norwegian Maritime Museum (Norsk Maritimt Museum in Norwegian) is another interesting museum to visit and explore in Oslo if you happen to visit the famous Fram and Kon-Tiki Museums nearby. It is home to lots of exhibits on Norway's maritime history including lots of ship models and some great displays of maritime art. The museum is also a great place for students and children. It certainly has one of the world's best maritime displays.
There is a 15 minute multi-screen video presentation on Norway's coast and scenery at the basement's cinema. Opening hours to the museum are between 10.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. daily with shorter opening hours during the winter months. Admission fees to the museum are NOK 60.00 for adults and NOK 30.00 for children. Admission fee for students is NOK 35.00 per student. Holders of Oslo Pass is eligible to enter the museum free-of-charge.
