"Renting a car..." Mexico Transportation Tip by tomeek

If you decide to rent a car I suggest you see at the local rentals. Those of brand names are very expensive and you won't get less quality with locals. The price depends on a type of a car but its really affordable. I would also suggest you take full insurance, not much on the price but you feel safer. The gas is relatively cheep and your credit card will be accepted on most gas stations. Be prepared to pay lots of tolls on bridges/roads etc but thats small money and roads are really good, straight and wide. Pay attention on next gas station signs! In some areas there are no gas stations for about 70 miles so refill your tank on time!

Another method of getting arround is organized busses. I have seen many, they are comfortable and mostly airconditioned but you will only be able to see places when they stop. The rest you'll see from the window!
