We ate regularly at our hotel, The Admiral, in The Salt Bar. For a change we tried along Nyhavn and selected one of the many little places along the canal..Nyhavn37.
We found Danish food different to our usual fare at home. Caesar Salad with fried chicken (med stegt kylling) being popular
.
The Salt Bar Restaurant offered: Ristet Multe medhvide asparages ogaeter (Toasted grey mullet with white asparagus and peas)

And of course nearly every menu board featured herring of some description. You need to know, by the way, a sandwich is quite different to the Australian variety.

I nearly was drawn in to one restaurant to try Tomato soup and salmon (not smoked) but we decided to return to the comfort of our hotel for a fresh fish meal...Danish style.

oh, I would love to experience the food!! sounds as if they had a good choice of places to eat
