"Busy streets of Hong Kong" Transportation Tip by tomeek

Transportation, Hong Kong: 19 reviews and 28 photos

Favorite thing: However, as in any city with multi-million number of people, sights like this one are most common! During the whole day long there are endless lines of cars, buses or trams in the streets, not to mention the people, always in great numbers! But I was amazed to see how well is everything organized! There are no traffic jams (at least I haven't seen any), tempo is really fast which is really essential for the city of this kind but everything is moving smoothly! There is also a Metro available, MTR as they call it, new, modern and fast transportation mean. If you are in a hurry, and most HK people usualy are, take the MTR and reach your destination quickly! The slow and much more romantic altertnative is the tram, it is slow but it gives you a lovely view to the city downtown, especially if you choose the upper deck! Trams however operate only on HK island, in other areas you can use taxis, buses and of course, the MTR.
