The Musee Maillol is located on rue Grenelle a short walk from the Rodin Museum. The art collector Wilhelm Uhde collected works primarily of two artists, Camille bombois and Seraphine Louis., but there is also a collection of works, primarily sculptures by Aristide Maillol, hence the name of the museum. However, the museum has excellent exhibitions of great works or art. in 2012 there is an incredible collection of paintings by Artemisia Gentilschi, the first important woman artist to emerge in the 17th century. In late 2012 thru February 2013 there will works by Canaletto.
