Minorca is one of the Balearic Islands, but compared to Mallorca and Ibiza it is much more quiet here.
The capital of Minorca is Mao (Mahon) with an impressive harbour and a beautiful centre. The other big town on the island is Ciutadella, also worth a visit.
Of course you'll also find a lot of nice beaches on the island as e.g. Punta Prima or Cala en Bosch. You'll also find a few megalithic stone monuments scattered around the island as well as fortifications from the time when Minorca was British.
Getting around is easy, there are buses connecting the major settlements and the beaches.
