"Ideal setting and the price is right!" Top 5 Page for this destination Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos Tip by Usctwin

For our stay in Cabo San Lucas, we selected the Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos, sometimes casually referred to as “Blanco” because of the uniformly white outer walls of the hotel. Part of the Pueblo Bonito family of hotels, Blanco sits next door to its bigger and older sister, Pueblo Bonito Rose. Two other Pueblo Bonito hotels, the lavish Sunset Beach and the more serene Pacifica, can be reached by shuttle bus. Patrons of one hotel have privileges at all four Pueblo Bonito hotels.

The location of Pueblo Bonito Blanco is ideal, right on El Medano beach facing directly out to the bay and Land’s End. A half mile walk or a short cab ride takes you to the Marina and downtown Cabo San Lucas, with restaurants, shops, and accompanying hustle and bustle. However, along the cabanas in front of the hotel, or around the large, meandering pool, the mood is much more relaxed. And two excellent local eateries, upscale Edith’s, and the more casual The Office, are not far away.

The 147 rooms come in two versions, junior suites and luxury suites, and each has a view of the ocean. Junior suites exceed 525 square feet and are sized for up to four guests. Luxury suites have over 750 square feet of living space and include a private bedroom, bathroom, and separate dining area. Neither comes with King beds, but a call to housekeeping quickly brings a courteous staff person who will push the two doubles together to create what must be the largest King bed in all of Mexico. Our rooms were spotlessly clean, as was the entire hotel, and everyone from the front desk staff to the waiters at the hotel’s two excellent restaurants, were unfailingly friendly and helpful.

The only exception might be the overly aggressive time share sales people situated in the lobby who, once they finally take no for an answer, turn their attention to the next customer coming through the door.

Speaking of the hotel’s restaurants, both Cilantro, which sits overlooking the water, and La Paloma, which is tucked up under a veranda, were excellent. We had opted for the all-inclusive package and were prepared to find the hotel’s meals less than scintillating to say the least. Instead, they were very tasty, whether we availed ourselves of appetizers and main courses at Cilantro for dinner, or the breakfast buffet at La Paloma in the morning. And the margaritas, which never seemed to stop coming, were outstanding.
