Rabo de Peixe is all about fishing and the fishing on the Azores is still quite old fashioned, but also a very enviromentally good way of fishing as they do not use big trwls that kill all life, but they still fish with hooks and lines and that way they just throw any fish back in the ocean that is not good for commercial use, opposed to a bottom trawl that just kills everything that get's in to the net.
So have a look at the charming little harbour if you want to see how good old traditional fishing is still happening and don't forget to order a fish in the local restaurant after that so you can support the local economy a bit and the guys who work hard on the sea.
