Two hundred year old stately home set in three hundred acres of scenic Tipperary farm land (in other words sheep). The 5 guest rooms (4 ensuite) have country-style furnishings, family heirloom furnishings and views of the farmlands as well as the nearby mountain ranges – the Knockmealdown, Comeragh, Slievenamon and Galtee. Guests are also encouraged to watch the sheep dogs rounding up the flocks. Closed: mid-Nov to mid-March

Unique Qualities: The focal point of a stay here is the delicious home cooking of hostess, Mairead Power especially her scones and homemade jam (which she also sells).

Address: Dualla, Cashel, County Tipperary
Price Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: (stay here when visiting the Rock of Cashel). 3 miles from Cashel on R691. Coming from Dublin signed from N8, 5 miles after Horse & Jockey. Sign on left. 2.5 miles to house.
